Well, it's officially been one month since I started my first post-grad job as a staff photographer at the Watertown Daily Times. Crazy how time flies, huh? Looking back, it's kind of insane that I just picked up my entire life and moved six hours north within two weeks of getting this job, but it was one of the best decisions I ever made. I'm so lucky to be able to follow my dreams as a working photojournalist while also getting to explore a new part of the country. Documenting the North Country community has proved a challenge, but a rewarding one at that. I'm from the city; I'm used to a fast-paced and crowded life. Moving to Northern New York has forced me to slow down, take a look around and observe the smaller moments that are happening around me, which I feel has shown itself in my most recent work. Take a look at some of my favorite images from my first month here in Watertown:
Heads up: after this post I'm going to be doing a week in photos post here, so make sure to check back to see my latest work!
